ISLAND TOUR - FULL DAY TRIP

Our excursion departs from Pefkos, from here we continue along the east coast to Seven Springs (Epta Piges), one of the island’s top woodland beauty spots.Peacocks strut beside the streams and waterfalls here, where the seven springs feed a central reservoir.The springs were harnessed to irrigate the orange groves in Kolympia to the east.The lake can be reached either by a woodland trail, or, for the more brave, via the famous tunnel, which is ankle-deep in water.We stop at the top of the last spring for photographs.

From Seven Springs we continue through lovely countryside to Elousa and Profit Ilias where you have the chance to visit the monastery and have coffee in the café.We then head on to the Ancient ruins of Kamiroswhere you will have plenty of time to explore.

We move on to Kalavada for lunch in a local taverna..
During the low season we will then take you to visit the beautiful monastery of Philerimos and then drive across the island back to Lindos and Pefkos.

In the high season instead of the visit to Philerimos, we take you to visit the Valley of the Butterflies., a narrow leafy valley with a stream criss-crossed by wooden bridges.We have plenty of time here for you to stroll through the fertile valley, enjoying its cool freshness and to marvel at the sheer number of these lovely creatures which are actually not butterflies but Jersey tiger moths, attracted by the resin of the storax trees with its vanilla scented aroma.

Don’t forget shoes which are suitable for walking.
